This wonderful building (and business) was built during Covid, when we were all losing our minds. Audrey has it jam-packed in a most delightful way. You can find primitive furniture, pottery and bowls, old quilts and …. my favorite … old watering cans and home-made mittens! Yep, just about anything you are not looking for but absolutely need. I don’t know how she does it, but Audrey is always shopping and adding items to her inventory. If you follow her on Facebook, she’ll post pictures of the new items and their prices. Be sure to act fast because most of them go before they even get a chance to hit the shop. There is no sign, so be sure to have your phone on, telling you where to go! After you’ve had your fill, you absolutely need to stop at The Red Barn – it’s just down the street at 218 Boulder Hill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540. This huge barn is full of ideas and possibilities for repurposing items, re-using old stuff and grouping like items in a most pleasing way. Sally has a gift to bring out the best in her displays. That is, if you ever make it inside the barn – there’s so much to explore outside before you even enter. One of my favorite buys is a bunch of old mattress springs. I spray-painted them white and they are a fun contrast to the fresh greens in my window boxes at Christmastime. Sally had them displayed holding flower pots! So much fun. Both ladies are as interesting and creative as their wares.
