This is the largest museum in the United States devoted to Civil War history. Revolving exhibits and seasonal events make this a most interesting education. Self-guided tours are available – be sure to take advantage of the QR codes for downloading more information on certain objects. What we especially liked about this museum is that it covered not only the main strategies and battles of the war, but also the viewpoint and experiences of the individual soldiers. The medical displays were a bit gory though!
